Alabama commitment Emmanuel Henderson put up monster numbers on Friday night.
The 5-star prospect rushed 14 times for 342 yards, leading Geneva County (Alabama) to a 28-12 victory over Cottonwood.
AL.com’s Ben Thomas notes that Henderson scored on runs of 65, 35, 54 and 72 yards.
“He was real explosive tonight obviously,” Geneva County coach Jim Bob Striplin said of Henderson to AL.com. “He’s the senior leader you need. He really carried our team when we needed him to do that.”
Striplin had more high praise for Henderson, extending beyond the running back’s big night on the gridiron.
“He is laser-focused,” Striplin said of Henderson to AL.com. “He’s mature. He can come to the sideline and tell me what he likes. I’m having the time of my life. This kid is really something.”
Henderson is the 247Sports Composite’s No. 1 running back and No. 28 recruit overall in the class of 2022. He pledged to Alabama on March 13.
