Here at SDS, we’ve already released our Week 3 predictions. If you are looking for an analytic edge to the big SEC games this weekend, here’s an alternative set of picks that may interest you.
Ed Feng’s site The Power Rank recently released its picks for Week 3. Feng’s system has helped him to pick the correct winner 74.5% of the time dating back to the 2016 season. It’s also noteworthy that his record does not count games against FCS opponents, only FBS opponents.
Because The Power Rank does not predict games involving FCS teams, Georgia’s game vs Samford and Auburn’s game vs Mercer are not included below.
As for the rest of the Week 3 SEC action, here’s how The Power Rank predicts the weekend to play out:
- Florida will beat Tennessee by 3 at home. The Vols have a 41% chance to win in Gainesville.
- Vanderbilt will beat Kansas State by 0.7 at home. The Commodores have a 52% chance of winning in Nashville.
