Sam Prince, a 17-year-old heart transplant survivor, was supposed to attend the NFL Draft in Las Vegas this year and announce the New York Giants’ pick, which was the No. 4 overall selection.
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the draft wasn’t held in Vegas and instead took place virtually. So, Prince never got to announce the Giants’ pick, which ended up being Georgia OL Andrew Thomas.
Well, as you can see in the heartwarming video below, Thomas reached out via an online call to surprise Prince with a visit:

“So it was just an honor to meet you again like, I mean, I watched all your games in college,” Prince said. “As I said, I’m a huge college football fan. I’ve watched you all the years you’ve started at Georgia. When I heard your name, I like threw my hat like this. And like just went like, wow, like, oh yeah. Oh yeah, that’s him. Best pick in the draft. A-plus. A-plus, A-plus pick. Best, best offensive lineman in the draft. I’m not just saying that because you’re in front of me.
“I truly do think that from the bottom of my heart.”
What a special moment for Prince and what a great gesture from Thomas.
