The Alabama running back room is losing another player. Kyle Edwards has entered his name into the transfer portal according to multiple reports, including AL.com’s Matt Zenitz. Edwards’ decision comes just four days after Keilan Robinson entered the portal.

From Destrehan (Louisiana), Edwards was part of the 2020 recruiting class. A 3-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite, Edwards committed to Alabama on Aug. 23, 2019. He signed with the Crimson Tide over 15 other offers, including Kentucky, Mississippi State and Texas A&M.

Edwards did not see any playing time during his freshman season at UA.

Players who enter the transfer portal are not bound to leave the program, though cases of SEC players withdrawing from the portal and returning to the team are becoming increasingly rare.
