Hill was originally a verbal commit to Texas A&M, pledging to Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies program on July 30. However, he reopened his recruitment on Nov. 7.
Now, the Longhorns, who were originally a finalist along with the Aggies, have Hill in the fold and their 3rd highest-rated recruit of the cycle. It’s their 4th 5-star recruit as Hill joins quarterback Arch Manning, running back Cedric Baxter Jr., and wide receiver Johntay Cook II.
A 6-foot-2, 225-pounder out of Denton (Tex.) Ryan High School, Hill totaled 67 tackles and 4.0 TFLs as a senior. He was limited to 6 games due to injury. In 2021, he was credited with 131 stops, 18.0 TFLs, and 8.0 sacks.
