A total of eight SEC teams are in the latest AP Top 25 poll, released on Sunday afternoon. Three of those teams are in the top 5, with four landing in the top 10.
The top 5 remained unchanged: Ohio State is still No. 1, followed by Indiana at No. 2. Texas A&M, Alabama, and Georgia are still Nos. 3-5 after beating Mizzou, LSU, and Mississippi State, respectively. Meanwhile, Ole Miss inched up a spot to No. 6 after a blowout win against The Citadel.
Texas, which was off in Week 12, jumped into the top 10 regardless. They’re No. 10 after sitting at No. 13 the previous week. Vanderbilt is now at No. 13, moving up a couple of spots after an overtime win over Auburn.
Looking outside of the SEC, the two teams making the biggest drops were a pair of ACC teams. Virginia plunged 8 spots to No. 20 after a home loss to Wake Forest. Louisville, No. 14 a week ago, fell 5 spots to No. 19 after an overtime loss to Cal.
