Raise your hand if you had Penn State and Texas being unranked by Week 6 on your preseason bingo card.
Very few of you moved at all, and that’s a vivid sign of just how unpredictable the 2025 college football season has been thus far.
Week 6 brought with it plenty of movement as conference play hit full throttle around the country, and while the SEC does not feature a team in the top 3 of the current rankings, its presence is still heavily felt on the list.
In total, 9 SEC programs made the cut for this week’s ranking, with 5 of them residing inside the top 10.
Ole Miss is the highest-ranked squad from the league at No. 4, while Texas A&M and Oklahoma follow right behind.
Alabama (8) and Georgia (10) round out that group, but LSU and Tennessee are right behind the Bulldogs as well.
Meanwhile, Missouri is lurking at the 14 spot ahead of its clash with the Crimson Tide, while the team Bama just beat in Vanderbilt fell to No. 20.
