Arden Key announces he will enter 2018 NFL Draft

Arden Key’s time at LSU has come to an end.

The feared pass rusher announced Thursday morning his intention to enter his name into consideration for the 2018 NFL Draft, leaving LSU a year early.

Key didn’t have the junior season many had hoped he would have coming off a sophomore season in which he registered a school-record 12 sacks. He was named to the preseason watch list for the Bednarik, Maxwell, Butkus and Walter Camp awards but offseason issues appear to have derailed his last season in Baton Rouge.

Last season, he totaled only four sacks after missing several games. He is expected to be among the top pass-rushing prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft.
