Arkansas has just landed its first 2019 commitment from Colorado native Ty Evans. That’s not the only good news, as Evans is a quarterback, making him the perfect prospect to build the next recruiting class around in Fayetteville.

The 6-foot-2, 167-pound Evans threw for 3,150 yards and 31 touchdowns as a high school sophomore and tossed only five interceptions for his high school program. Evans commits to the Razorbacks over in-state programs Colorado and Colorado State. Evans also currently holds offers from Kansas State and Northwestern.

Evans announced his commitment Tuesday morning on Twitter:

While Evans has a small frame now, he’ll have two seasons to add mass before arriving at the Arkansas campus. Take a look at his latest highlight reel and it’s easy to see why the Razorbacks are so eager to have Evans on campus, he has a booming and accurate arm for a prospect of his age.
