The Razorbacks just picked up a big commitment as Georgia defensive lineman John Mincey announced his pledge to join the latest Arkansas recruiting class.

The 6-foot-4, 255-pound Peach State native is ranked as a three-star prospect, the No. 43 strongside defensive end in the nation and the No. 99 overall prospect from Georgia according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. While Georgia has yet to extend a scholarship to the big lineman, Auburn, LSU and Tennessee are among the schools that have done so prior to his senior season of high school football.

Mincey announced the news on Twitter with the following message:

Following this commitment, Arkansas now has two defensive linemen pledged to the 2018 recruiting class as Mincey joins Arkansas native Isaiah Nichols.

While listed as a defensive end, it’s easy to imagine Mincey projecting as an outside linebacker in Arkansas’ 3-4 defensive scheme.
