For Auburn to remain competitive on the fields and courts of play, we need to compete – and win – in the NIL arena,” Greene said, a message highlighted by the Auburn Athletics Twitter account when sharing the 1 minute, 45-second video.

Student-athletes have been able to receive compensation for name, image and likeliness since July 2021. This year, NIL has received increased attention in the college football and college basketball offseasons as there have been reports and rumors of deals linked to commitments from players out of high school and in the NCAA transfer portal.
“We will continue to adapt and be aggressive as we forge into Year 2,” Greene adds in the video.
In the video, Green highlights SPIRIT, a comprehensive NIL program Auburn launched last year.
