Former Auburn football senior offensive analyst Jeff McDaniels has been named the wide receivers coach at Eastern Washington, according to a report from FootballScoop.com.

McDaniels was promoted to running backs coach following the firing of Bryan Harsin and promotion of former RBs coach Cadillac Williams. He has ties to Harsin from his time at Boise State prior to Auburn.

McDaniels was a 2-year letterman for Davidson in his playing days, playing wide receiver and punter for the Wildcats. After his stint in college, McDaniels made stops at Texas State, Davidson, Boise State and finally Auburn in various roles.

Eastern Washington, an FCS school located in Cheney, Washington, finished last season 3-8.
