On Friday, Auburn announced the 10-person working group that’s exploring a new football-only facility.

The release stated that the group will soon begin deliberations with the goal of providing some recommendations to the university’s board of trustees and athletic department officials.

Ron Burgess, Auburn’s executive vice president, is the working group chair. During the last board meeting, the trustees urged then-president Steven Leath to start the working group and move forward. Leath has since stepped down from the position.

Below are the names of the group, as they represent multiple areas within the university.

The working group is chaired by Ron Burgess, Auburn’s executive vice president. Other members include Mike DeMaioribus, member of the Auburn Board of Trustees; Earlon McWhorter, member of the Tigers Unlimited Foundation Board; Allen Greene, director of Athletics; Bobby Woodard, senior vice president for Student Affairs; Dan King, associate vice president for Facilities; Beverly Marshall, professor of finance and Faculty Athletics Representative; Carlos Smith, vice president of the Auburn Student Government Association; Van Henley, president of the Auburn Alumni Association; and Jerraud Powers, former Auburn and professional football player.

Last fall, Gus Malzahn pledged $2 million to the new facility.
