Jordan-Hare Stadium will have even more aura now thanks to Auburn’s partnership with YellaWood. As a result of the on-field corporate sponsorship, the 25-yard lines of Pat Dye Field, honoring the late Auburn coach, will feature the YellaWood logo.

Auburn announced the naming of “Pat Dye Field” in May. The 3-time SEC Coach of the Year guided Auburn from 1981-92 and was elected into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2005. YellaWood founder/CEO Jimmy Rane, an alum of Auburn, said the new partnership helps honor Dye’s legacy.

Pat Dye revolutionized Auburn Athletics,” Rane said. “He left no doubt about what he was about and what he intended to do. The reporter asked him, ‘Coach, how long is it going to take you to beat Alabama? With a cold-eyed, steel look, he looked at him and said, ‘Sixty minutes.’ You knew damn well he meant business. From that day forward until he stopped coaching, that’s the attitude and grit he brought to Auburn’s program.

Auburn athletic director John Cohen expressed thanks for the creative way to recognize Dye.

We are profoundly grateful to Jimmy Rane and YellaWood for honoring Coach Dye and supporting Auburn Athletics in this innovative manner,” Cohen said. “To Jimmy and to Auburn, this is so much more than a sponsorship agreement.

Fans will get to see the new signage when Auburn hosts Ball State in its home opener on Sept. 6 (7:30 p.m. ET/ESPNU).
