The Auburn Tigers are in the middle of a battle with the Arkansas Razorbacks in a game between 2 SEC squads who are still searching for their first conference win of the season in Fayetteville.
Auburn had been trailing for much of the game, but junior cornerback Rayshawn Pleasant completely shifted the momentum of the game by hauling in a massive interception off of Hogs’ quarterback Taylen Green and returning it all the way for a touchdown to give his guys the lead midway through the fourth quarter.
Pleasant read the eyes of Green the entire way, and made a perfect jump on the ball as the Arkansas quarterback tried to fit a pass into wide receiver Raylen Sharp, and had nothing but green grass in front of him all the way to the end zone.
A former member of the Tulane Green Wave, Pleasant joined the Tigers’ secondary this past offseason via the Transfer Portal, and has quickly become one of the best players on a stout Auburn defense.
He entered the game against Arkansas with 8 total tackles and one pass break up on the year as one of the Tigers 2 every down corners, and he can now add his first career pick 6 against an SEC opponent to his résumé following this massive play against the Razorbacks.
