Auburn will be starting a new era in 2026 as former South Florida coach Alex Golesh is the new Tigers’ coach heading into next year.
The Tigers have been hit really hard with guys entering the transfer portal, as star offensive players Deuce Knight and Cam Coleman have already announced they will be leaving Auburn.
On Thursday, Golesh did get some good news, as defensive lineman Jourdin Crawford announced that he would be back for Auburn next season.
Crawford had only two tackles on the season for the Tigers, but he entered last season as one of the better players in the Auburn 2025 recruiting class.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Crawford was the No. 164 player in the 2025 class. He was the No. 12 player in Alabama, and the No. 15 defensive lineman in the class.
For Golesh and the Tigers, the transfer portal is going to be huge when it comes to how the team performs in 2026. Whether it is keeping their guys, or bringing in top talent, the next few weeks will be huge for Golesh.
The portal officially opens on Friday, but plenty of players across the country have already announced their intentions for next year.
