Auburn football received some good news from a 2025 defensive line recruit on Monday evening despite a dramatic loss to Alabama in the Iron Bowl a few days prior.

Kalen Edwards, a 4-star DL from Dyersburg (Tenn.), has committed to the Tigers. He made the announcement on his X account.

Edwards, a 6-foot-4, 330-pounder, currently holds offers from 13 programs, including Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisville, Miami, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Tennessee. He is considered the No. 29 defensive line recruit in his class and the No. 9 player in the state of Tennessee by 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Edwards’ pledge is the 7th for Hugh Freeze in the 2025 recruiting class and the 4th for the defensive line. Auburn currently has the No. 5 class in the country, headlined by Opelika (Ala.) 4-star DL Malik Autry, a Top 100 player who committed to the program in February.

Below, you can take a look at some of Edwards’ highlights from Hudl:
