Daniel Carlson has claimed a spot in Auburn’s record book.

The junior kicker’s three field goals against Vanderbilt made him the career field goal leader in program history with 61. He surpassed Wes Byrum, who booted 60 from 2007-2010.

Carlson has now hit 20 of his 21 field goal tries this season, which has earned him a spot as one of 20 semifinalists for the Lou Groza Award, which is presented annually to the nation’s top kicker. The junior was one of three finalists for the accolade last year, and even if he comes up short again in 2016, at least he’ll be the most prolific kicker in Tigers’ history.

Auburn currently leads Vanderbilt 23-16 in the fourth quarter.
