Auburn is one of a few teams being linked to USC transfer quarterback Miller Moss, according to a report.

On3’s Pete Nakos has identified Auburn, Michigan, Iowa and Louisville as programs who are expected to be interested in Moss once he officially enters the portal.

Auburn is certainly expected to be active in the quarterback market this offseason. Payton Thorne is out of eligibility and Auburn is expected to lose multiple reserve QBs to the transfer portal this offseason, including Hank Brown and Holden Geriner.

Hugh Freeze does have a strong recruiting pitch he can make to incoming quarterbacks. The Tigers had multiple potential stars emerge at receiver this season, led by freshman Cam Coleman. The former 5-star prospect closed out the year with 598 receiving yards this season. Malcolm Simmons also had a promising freshman campaign, ending the year with 451 yards.

Moss had an up-and-down season at USC. He was ultimately replaced as the program’s starter for the last 2 games, although backup Jayden Maiava struggled in the starting role as well. Moss threw for 2,555 yards, 18 touchdowns and 9 interceptions this season.

It’s still very early in the process, so it’s possible Auburn explore multiple options in the transfer market before signing a potential starter for the 2025 campaign.
