Well, chalk up a win for Auburn’s defense in the first half.
Auburn and LSU are tied 10-10 at halftime, and Auburn’s defense is playing very well against LSU’s dynamic offense. Joe Burrow has 208 yards passing but only one touchdown. LSU’s offense has racked up 238 total yards; however, its front four is getting pressure on Burrow. The LSU quarterback hasn’t been hit all year like he’s being hit against Auburn.
Auburn’s offense, meanwhile, has totaled 147 yards. Quarterback Bo Nix is just 7-of-17 for 65 yards. Auburn has managed just 41 rushing yards against LSU’s defense. However, the interception right before halftime cost the Tigers three points.
The biggest play of the game so far is LSU’s Derek Stingley’s fumble that set Auburn up with the short field and the touchdown. Nix punched it in on fourth down from the one-yard-line.
Stingley made Auburn pay, though, on his interception right before halftime.
