Auburn RB Kamryn Pettway loves carrying the offensive load for the Tigers

Auburn RB Kamryn Pettway filled in for injured starter Kerryon Johnson on Saturday evening against Arkansas and didn’t disappoint.
On 27 carries, Pettway ran for 192 yards and two touchdowns, setting the tone for Auburn’s 56-3 rout of the Razorbacks.
The sophomore told the Ledger-Enquirer that he loved being able to help his team in Johnson’s absence:
“It felt good the offense can depend on me when another person is down or when it’s time to carry the load,” Pettway said. “It’s a great feeling.”
Though he finished with eye-popping stats, Pettway didn’t play in the fourth quarter. He admitted after the game that he would have liked to get 200 yards:
“I did want more, but I didn’t want to be selfish,” Pettway said with a laugh.
So far in 2016, Pettway has run the ball 118 times for 697 yards and six touchdowns.
