It turns out Auburn not only signed one of the best running backs in the nation in Asa Martin, the Tigers landed the 6A Mr. Football from the state of Alabama. Martin won the award Tuesday.
The four-star running back was ranked as the nation’s No. 9 running back and the No. 6 overall prospect from Alabama by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Martin signed with the Tigers during the early signing period and has already enrolled as an early enrollee.
Given the losses of Kerryon Johnson and Kam Pettway to the Auburn backfield, Martin should have the opportunity to come in and contribute immediately for the Tigers.
