A pair of Auburn defenders have decided to explore transfer options. Tobechi Okoli and Craig McDonald have announced they are entering the NCAA transfer portal.

Okoli, a reserve defensive lineman entering his 3rd season, made his announcement Thursday evening.

A former 3-star recruit from Kansas City, Missouri, Okoli was part of Auburn’s 2021 recruiting class. He did not record any statistics in his 2 seasons with the Tigers.

McDonald, a reserve defensive back, is familiar with the transfer portal. He transferred from Iowa State to Auburn for the 2022 season. Friday, McDonald announced that he is back in the portal.

McDonald played in 2 games for Auburn last season. His college career began in 2020.

Auburn has seen 7 players enter the transfer portal in the spring window for undergrads, which opened on April 15.
