Bad to worse? Vols’ offense takes a beating on social media

Tennessee’s offense struggled to find a rhythm in the first half against Florida.
The Vols began 3-for-7 on third down conversion attempts, had an interception, and managed 41 yards on their first 20 carries. They also lost a fumble and gave up a safety to the Florida defense.
Then, the seemingly best play of the first half for Tennessee, a 52-yard pass to Austin Pope ended up a fumble near the goal line as the ball squirted through the end zone and a touchback. Florida ball.
Plenty of people took to social media to vent about the Murphy’s Law offense:
Only Tennessee could convert a 4th and 1, pick up 50 yards on the play, and fumble it on the one-yard line out the back of the end zone for a touchback. I swear, I've never seen anything quite like Tennessee football

"One step forward…Two steps back."
In addition to being a quality Paula Abdul lyric, it's also a great description of Tennessee football.— Russell Smith (@Russell___Smith) September 23, 2018

That…boys and girls…is Tennessee football for the last 15 years. Incomprehensible…
