Oklahoma State got the last laugh in the end.

The Cowboys won the final Bedlam matchup before Oklahoma’s move to the SEC Saturday evening, 27-24. In doing so, Oklahoma State spoils their rival’s chances of reaching the CFP.

Oklahoma State has now won back-to-back home games against OU for the first time since they were called Oklahoma A&M in 1932.

Ollie Gordon II was the story in this one. The star RB rushed for 137 yards with 2 touchdowns, including the go-ahead score about midway through the 4th quarter.

This means plenty for the Bedlam rivalry, but it also means a ton for the race to the CFP.

The Sooners are now out of the race for the 4-team CFP. Their win over Texas has been nullified by back-to-back losses to Kansas and now OK State.

The Longhorns skirted by disaster of their own earlier today. The Longhorns downed Kansas State 33-30 in OT and now sit at 8-1 on the season. If the Longhorns can win the Big 12 there’s a chance they crack the playoff.

Incredibly, each of the 5 power conferences still have a team alive for the 4-team field.
