Alabama landed its 23rd commitment Wednesday in 4-star defensive tackle Jamil Burroughs.

Burroughs (Powder Springs, Georgia) is a one-time Georgia commitment. He decommitted September 6, 2019, and now, he’s an Alabama pledge. He held offers from programs around the country, including Clemson, Florida and LSU, among others.

The 6-2, 323-pound lineman has visited Alabama five times this year, and it was only a matter of time until he verbally committed.

Burroughs is rated as the No. 31 overall defensive tackle and the state of Georgia’s No. 33 overall prospect for the class of 2020, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Including Burroughs, Alabama now has four defensive tackles committed for the class of 2020.
