Bill O’Brien is currently the offensive coordinator for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
But, in the coaching world these days, things change quickly. O’Brien has been the subject of many NFL rumors already this offseason. And, now that the offensive coordinator job for the New England Patriots has opened up, O’Brien is once again in the rumor mill.
Per NFL insider Ian Rapoport, there is believed to be mutual interest between the Patriots and O’Brien:
Ian Rapoport via @GreshKeefe on Bill O'Brien being the next offensive coordinator of the Patriots: "I do believe there's interest. I think there's interest from them and there's interest from him."
Added: "Typically, the Patriots work very, very slow on staffing."

O’Brien has experience working with Bill Belichick, having spent the 2007 through 2011 seasons on the Patriots’ staff in various positions.
As the tweet above notes, the Patriots generally take their time making hires. We’ll see what happens with O’Brien moving forward, though.
