Brandon Hill likes coach Pat Narduzzi’s responses when the Pitt coach talks about the Panthers being disrespected. For the Pitt safety, it’s a feeling throughout the locker room, and they’ll get another chance to correct that this week against Tennessee.

“I think we’re tired of not getting the credit we deserve, the disrespect around the league and around the country,” Hill said on SiriusXM. “The stuff we accomplished last year and to still be talked about like we are this year, it just rubs us the long way, it’s like, ‘What more do we have to do?’ But if we have to do more, Pitt Panthers have no problem doing more.”

Hill said he believes that Narduzzi fights for his players, the fans and the city of Pittsburgh, and does a great job doing it.

“I couldn’t play for anybody else than Coach Narduzzi, for sure,” he said.

Hill added that the origin of the disrespect comes with a lack of consistency, and while Pitt went 11-3 last season, including a 41-34 win over Tennessee, and won the ACC, to truly gain respect, the Panthers need to do it for several more years.

“Pitt’s going to be back out there, we’re going to be one of those teams again, for sure,” he said.
