Cain is in his fifth college football season, though it is only his second with the Tigers. The Baton Rouge native was a top-100 prospect in the Class of 2019 out of the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Cain signed with Penn State over scholarship offers from 26 other programs, including Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee.
At Penn State, Cain played in 24 games for the Nittany Lions. He missed all but 1 game of the 2020 season due to injury.
After the 2021 season, Cain elected to transfer to LSU. In his first season with the Tigers, Cain posted career-highs of 409 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
Cain and the Tigers will look to keep their momentum going as LSU opens SEC play in Week 3 on the road at Mississippi State.
