Brian Kelly is playing things close to the vest when it comes to what LSU’s running back rotation will look like.

Four players have taken the ball out of the backfield for the Tigers at least 10 times thus far this season, led by Logan Diggs with 15. Kaleb Jackson and Noah Cain have 11 carries each while Josh Williams has 10. Tigers fans can’t forget about John Emery Jr., either, who has yet to play a game.

Kelly, though, didn’t go into too much detail about who the No. 1 player was in the RB room, saying that he’d elect to go with the hot hand or, potentially, hot hands.

“We’re going to go with the guy who’s feeling it,” the Tigers head coach said on Thursday. “We’ve got really good backs. We can’t get all of them on the field. It’s a competitive situation. Our guys know that. But we can feature multiple backs.”

LSU next faces Mississippi State, a road contest in Starkville set for a noon ET kickoff on ESPN.
