Brian Kelly and Jayden Daniels had reason to smile after LSU had a dominating win over Ole Miss, particularly in the second half, as the Tigers prevailed 45-20.
LSU outscored Ole Miss 28-0 in the second half. Daniels was 21-for-28 passing for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also added 23 carries for 121 yards and 3 touchdowns. Daniels connected with 8 different receivers in the win.
After the game, Kelly and Daniels spoke with Jenny Dell of CBS Sports.
“Consistency, our best players played well today,” Kelly said. “Our defense, hats off to them in the second half. Obviously that’s a really good offense that they shut down in the second half.
Daniels added, “It means a lot, like coach said, just consistency, and trusting the process of our preparation. After the Auburn game, me and coach had the talk, he’s like, ‘Go out there, trust yourself, trust your receivers, be decisive and good things will happen.”
