Brian Kelly says there’s ‘no doubt’ Jayden Daniels is best player in CFB
Brian Kelly thinks there is “no doubt” that his QB is the best player in college football.
Jayden Daniels is No. 3 in the nation with 3,577 passing yards. The QB leads the nation with 11.8 yards per attempt and recently became the first QB to eclipse 12,000 career passing yards and 3,000 career rushing yards.
Kelly said it’s “hard to put into words the level that Jayden Daniels is playing at right now,” after another dominant performance on Saturday.

Against the Georgia State Panthers in Week 12, Daniels completed 25/30 passes for 413 yards and 6 passing touchdowns. Daniels was also the leading rusher with 10 carries for 96 yards and 2 rushing TDs.
Daniels now has 36 passing TDs and 10 rushing TDs on the season. No QB in the nation has more passing TDs than Daniels through 11 games. The QB’s 3,577 passing yards will give him the 2nd-most in a single season in LSU history. Only Joe Burrow’s legendary 2019 season is ahead of Daniels’ 2023 season in terms of passing yards.
The No. 15 Tigers will end the regular season against the Texas A&M Aggies next Saturday.
