Jayden Daniels made college football history on Saturday night against the Florida Gators.

The dual-threat QB connected with Brian Thomas Jr. for a 51-yard TD in the 3rd quarter. That pass moved Daniels past the 12,000 career passing yards mark.

Earlier on Saturday, Daniels eclipsed 3,000 career rushing yards. This makes Daniels the 1st QB in NCAA FBS history to eclipse both marks in a career.

This means that Daniels has done something that not even Vince Young, Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, or Marcus Mariota did in college. Daniels starred for Arizona State for 3 seasons before transferring to LSU prior to the 2022 season.

ln Daniels’ first season with the Tigers, the QB threw for 2,913 yards and 17 TDs. Daniels also ran for 885 yards and 11 TDs. Heading into Saturday, Daniels had collected 2,792 passing yards and 684 yards on the ground.

With about 6 minutes to go against Florida in Week 11, Daniels had 220 rushing yards and 365 passing yards. The QB has accounted for 4 TDs for the Tigers, who are up 45-35.
