Alabama got off to a slow start Saturday in the Sugar Bowl, but Nick Saban’s squad appears to have woken up. After falling behind 10-0, the Crimson Tide is up 14-10 in the 2nd quarter thanks to a pair of Bryce Young TD passes.

Facing 3rd-and-10, Young found RB Jahmyr Gibbs for a 60-yard pass play to get down to the red zone.

The big play to Gibbs set up a strike to freshman WR Isaiah Bond for Alabama’s first touchdown of the game.

Alabama’s second TD was set up by another big passing play. Young hit Jermaine Burton with a long ball to get the ball deep in Wildcat territory.

The scoring drive was capped by Young to TE Cameron Latu for a second early TD pass.

Young is 7-of-11 for 149 yards in the early going. The game is in the 2nd quarter and can be viewed on ESPN.
