Bryce Young officially agrees to contract with Carolina Panthers, per report

Bryce Young has officially agreed to his first professional contract, according to a report.
That’s per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who also reported the terms of the deal. Young’s rookie contract will be fully-guaranteed for 4-years, $37.9 million. The contract includes a signing bonus worth approximately $24.6 million.

Young’s contract is worth slightly more than what the Jacksonville Jaguars paid to Travon Walker, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Walker’s first contract, including the signing bonus, was worth $37.4 million over 4 years.
Young joins a quarterback room in Carolina that also includes veteran Andy Dalton and former Ole Miss QB Matt Corral. He was promoted into the starting job earlier this offseason.
Over the past 2 seasons at Alabama, Young threw for 79 touchdowns and completed over 65% of his passes. He’s expected to contend for Rookie of the Year honors this upcoming season.
Rookies for the Panthers are due to report to training camp on Saturday. The Panthers’ first practice with veterans will be held on July 26.
