Cade Stover suffered a back injury in Saturday’s Peach Bowl CFP Semifinal matchup between Ohio State and Georgia.
The star Buckeyes TE was attempting to hurdle a Georgia defender in the first half before limping to the locker room. Reports left the locker room that he was pained by any pressure applied to the area and now ESPN’s Holly Rowe is reporting that Stover was taken to the local hospital.
The Buckeyes decided his day was done and made the decision as a precautionary measure. Hopefully Stover has suffered no serious injury.

Ohio State is playing very well against the No. 1 team in the country. The Bulldogs have not been able to pressure CJ Stroud and he has picked Georgia apart in turn. He’s already up to 292 passing yards and 4 touchdowns on 18-22 completions in just over 35 minutes.
The Buckeyes lead 35-24 with under 10 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter.
