On a day where LSU showcased its new-look offense with three- and four-wide receiver sets, it landed a commitment from a defensive standout from California.
Four-star OLB Jaden Navarrette (Norco, California) committed to the Tigers following the spring game. The 6-foot-3, 235-pound prospect is ranked as the nation’s No. 14 overall athlete and the state of California’s No. 18 overall player, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Navarrette committed to LSU over offers from Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado, among others. Although he’s listed as an athlete, he’s projected to play OLB for the Tigers defense.
He became the Tigers 10th commitment for the class of 2020 and the third commit from the state of California.
