We can put an end to the Nick Saban Election Day controversy

Nick Saban wanted to set the record straight.

After No. 1 Alabama throttled Mississippi State, the Crimson Tide’s coach took a moment out of his post-game news conference to confirm he did vote via an absentee ballot.

Saban, of course, was referencing the stir he created by saying he didn’t even know the presidential election happened Tuesday. The coach had previously said he was more focused on football and that he tends to stay away from commenting on political matters anyway.

But Saban was unhappy that his comments created so many headlines, so he felt the need to clarify.
