The Carolina Panthers used a fifth-round pick on former Florida RB Jordan Scarlett in the 2019 NFL Draft.
As a rookie last year, Scarlett played in 9 games, mostly on special teams. However, he did record 4 carries for 9 yards. He then suffered a leg injury in Week 12 and was placed on injured reserve.
On Sunday, the Panthers announced via Twitter that they had waived the former Gator, as you can see below:

The Panthers have superstar RB Christian McCaffrey as their starter, with Reggie Bonnafon and Mike Davis listed as the primary backups on this ESPN depth chart.
Will Scarlett find a new NFL team before the start of the 2020 season? We’ll find out over the next couple of weeks.
