Carson Beck and Dominic Lovett connected for a game-tying touchdown pass with 1:01 remaining in the game against Georgia Tech on Friday night.

The TD completed a multi-score comeback as the Bulldogs trailed 17-0 at the half. Lovett’s touchdown made the score 27-27. Here’s a replay:

Georgia twice narrowed the deficit to 7 points in the second half, but the Yellow Jackets were able to respond with a touchdown of their own after the first score with 5:37 remaining. However, the Yellow Jackets fumbled with just over 2 minutes remaining in the half, giving UGA the time to tie the game for the first time since it was 0-0.

The TD was Beck’s third of the night. He threw for 240 yards and didn’t turn the ball over during regulation.

Georgia Tech was unable to get into field goal range on its ensuing possession.

Georgia is hoping to avoid its third loss of the season. A defeat would likely put Georgia into a must-win situation next weekend in the SEC Championship Game. Meanwhile, Georgia Tech is searching for its first win over its in-state rivals since 2016 — Kirby Smart’s first season at the helm.
