Cayden Lee took to his own social media to announce where he will be continuing his college football career.

The former Ole Miss receiver will be staying in the SEC and heading to Columbia to play at Mizzou for the 2026 season. Lee announced on Saturday afternoon that he wasn’t leaving the conference where he made his mark and helped lead the Rebels to the College Football Playoff semifinals. He’ll just be wearing a different uniform next fall as he continues that road in the SEC.

Lee, who announced a week ago that he was leaving Oxford and heading to the portal, didn’t take long to find his new collegiate home. He’ll be reuniting with former Ole Miss quarterback Austin Simmons, who signed with Mizzou for next season earlier this month. The Simmons-to-Lee connection will be reborn in Columbia next fall.

Meanwhile, Lee’s announcement on his social media on Saturday was all about his new home, with the headline: “Run it.”

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Georgia native was one of Ole Miss’s top targets the past 2 seasons. In 2025, he caught 44 passes for 635 yards and 3 touchdowns, helping the Rebels get within 2 victories of a national championship.

Lee was even more productive as a sophomore in 2024, catching 57 passes for 874 yards and 2 TDs.

But Lee decided he didn’t want to continue in Oxford in the aftermath of Lane Kiffin‘s departure for LSU, and now he’ll be playing for Eli Drinkwitz next fall.

He’ll also be part of a Tigers offense that now features his old friend Simmons as well as stud running back Ahmad Hardy. With 3 of Mizzou’s top 6 receivers from a season ago either graduating or leaving through the portal, Lee should be a featured weapon along with Hardy in 2026.
