The 2021 NFL Draft will take place in April, but teams won’t have the normal NFL Combine to vet potential picks.

That makes events like this week’s Senior Bowl and each school’s Pro Days more important than ever. So, we’ll see which players are able to improve their draft stock between now and April.

On Thursday, CBS Sports analyst Josh Edwards released his updated Round 1 mock draft, and as you can see below, he had 13 SEC stars projected to go in the first 32 picks:

  • No. 6 — Ja’Marr Chase, WR, LSU — Philadelphia Eagles
  • No. 7 — DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama — Miami Dolphins
  • No. 8 — Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida — Carolina Panthers
  • No. 10 — Patrick Surtain II, CB, Alabama — Dallas Cowboys
  • No. 15 — Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama — New England Patriots
  • No. 18 — Najee Harris, RB, Alabama — Miami Dolphins
  • No. 22 — Azeez Ojulari, LB, Georgia — Tennessee Titans
  • No. 23 — Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida — New York Jets
  • No. 24 — Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina — Pittsburgh Steelers
  • No. 25 — Christian Barmore, DL, Alabama — Jacksonville Jaguars
  • No. 27 — Terrace Marshall Jr., WR, LSU — Baltimore Ravens
  • No. 31 — Alex Leatherwood, OL, Alabama — Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • No. 32 — Deonte Brown, OL, Alabama — Kansas City Chiefs

Can more SEC guys work their way into the Round 1 picture over the next few weeks? We’ll see what happens in Mobile, Alabama, at the Senior Bowl between now and Saturday.
