CBS Sports’ latest Round 1 NFL Mock Draft features a dozen SEC stars

The 2022 NFL Draft starts in only a few days in Las Vegas, with Round 1 taking place on Thursday, April 28.
When Roger Goodell, the NFL commissioner, steps to the podium on Thursday night, he’s sure to rattle off several SEC names in the first 32 picks.
This weekend, CBS Sports analyst Cody Benjamin updated his mock draft. As you can see below, he included 12 SEC stars in Round 1:
- No. 2 — Travon Walker, DL, Georgia — Detroit Lions
- No. 7 — Evan Neal, OL, Alabama — New York Giants
- No. 9 — Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU — New York Giants
- No. 12 — Charles Cross, OL, Mississippi State — New Orleans Saints
- No. 14 — Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia — Baltimore Ravens
- No. 18 — Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama — Kansas City Chiefs
- No. 20 — Devonte Wyatt, DL, Georgia — Pittsburgh Steelers
- No. 23 — Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia — New England Patriots
- No. 25 — Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss — Detroit Lions
- No. 26 — Kenyon Green, OL, Texas A&M — Tennessee Titans
- No. 27 — Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas — Philadelphia Eagles
- No. 32 — Quay Walker, LB, Georgia — Buffalo Bills
