CBS Sports projects 11 SEC teams to go to bowl games following Week 7

Now that we’re entering Week 8 of the 2021 college football season, teams have reached the halfway point of their schedules.

So, that means we’re starting to get a clearer picture of what bowl season will look like this December and January.

Following the Week 7 action, CBS Sports expert Jerry Palm made his bowl projections. He has Georgia making it to the College Football Playoff out of the SEC, with Alabama playing in a New Year’s 6 game.

The 3 SEC teams Palm doesn’t project to play this postseason are South Carolina, LSU and Vanderbilt.

  • Sugar Bowl vs. Oklahoma State

Arkansas

  • Music City Bowl vs. Minnesota

Auburn

  • Texas Bowl vs. Baylor

Florida

  • Duke’s Mayo Bowl vs. Pitt

Georgia

  • Orange Bowl (CFP) vs. Cincinnati

Kentucky

  • Outback Bowl vs. Purdue

Mississippi State

  • Birmingham Bowl vs. Western Michigan

Mizzou

  • Quick Lane Bowl vs. Eastern Michigan

Ole Miss

  • Citrus Bowl vs. Michigan State

Tennessee

  • Liberty Bowl vs. Iowa State

Texas A&M

  • Gator Bowl vs. Virginia
