The state of Auburn football hasn’t been fantastic, but the school’s men’s basketball program definitely deserves some credit.
And that’s exactly what it got from former basketball star Charles Barkley.
“Think about it this way: Auburn basketball won an NCAA Tournament, then lost, and y’all were pissed. … I was pissed, but then I thought, ‘Man, look how far Auburn has come,” Barkley tweeted.
Charles Barkley, speaking about Auburn’s trip to Israel this summer: “How many of you guys have been to Israel? Shit, I’m Charles Barkley, and I haven’t been to Israel.”

That trip to Israel marked Auburn’s most recent game, in which it lost, 95-86 to a talented team. Auburn will take on UAH next on Nov. 2.
