With the power and enchantment of SEC football typically comes high ticket prices on the secondary market. While going through the a list of the most expensive college football games on the secondary market, it would not be rare to see an overwhelming amount of SEC matchups with SEC schools included in others. However, while there are highly demand tickets in the conference, there still are some deals to be had for those looking. Below are the three least expensive team averages on the secondary market in the SEC, according to TiqIQ. They are the only three schools in the conference that have an average price below $100 across all home game.
Ole Miss | Avg. Price: $84.44
The inclusion of Ole Miss on this list could be a little puzzling. The Rebels finished last season with a 9-4 record and a No. 17 ranking in the AP Poll. Ole Miss also had a $146 average price on the secondary by the end of the season. That was aided by home games against Alabama and Mississippi State, both of which averaged over $300. However, this year’s Egg Bowl will be at Mississippi State and the most expensive 2015 Ole Miss football tickets currently average $168.29 against LSU on November 21. A weak first half of the home schedule can be attributed to the low price as well. Of the first four games at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium against Tennessee-Martin, Fresno State, Vanderbilt and New Mexico State, only one has an average price above $50.
Vanderbilt | Avg. Price: $78.91
The Commodores started the 2014 season with a 37-7 loss to the Temple Owls and things did not get much better from there. Vanderbilt finished with an SEC-worst 3-9 record, which included an 0-8 mark in conference play. The team scored just 17.2 points per game, while no other SEC school scored less than 27. While the Commodores expect to improve in 2015, ticket demand can’t get the season average price above $80 on the secondary market. The most expensive will come on September 12 against Georgia with an average price of $144.14 and a get-in price of $60.
Kentucky | Avg. Price: $68.42
Kentucky isn’t considered to be a football school, and its on-field performance over the past few years would back that up. The Wildcats haven’t been bowl eligible since 2010, which includes back-to-back two-win seasons in 2012 and 2013. While the team won five games in 2014 in the second season under Mark Stoops, the Wildcats still remain the least expensive SEC team on the secondary market. Only two home games at Commonwealth Stadium have an average over $100, and just barely. An October 15 game against Auburn carries a $105.69 average price and the home finale against Louisville on November 28 has an average price of $104.33.
