Chris Doering hesitates about Lane Kiffin to Auburn, submits him for another SEC West possibility

Chris Doering has heard the rumors of Lane Kiffin possibly getting the Auburn job, but that’s not something he would endorse out of the gate.
Speaking on the “Zach Gelb Show” Doering explained his reasoning.
“That’s an interesting thought, I’ve heard other people talk about down the road, Jimbo Fisher if it doesn’t work out there, that Lane could end up in College Station,” Doering said. “I just don’t know why you would sign up for what has historically been a little bit of a mess. He’s got a great gig right now in Oxford, took them to 10 wins last year, sits atop a tie for the SEC West lead right now. Dominated the transfer portal.”
Doering said the 2 most intriguing names for Auburn are Hugh Freeze at Liberty and Deion Sanders at Jackson State.
“Those are 2 that I have to imagine are getting serious consideration,” he said, and added that Kiffin appears to be the first choice for Auburn.
