Throughout the college football season, fans and media members have talked about the Heisman Trophy despite uncertainty on how season awards will be conducted in 2020.
During the ABC broadcast of Miami at Clemson, ESPN’s Chris Fowler offered some insight into how the Heisman Trophy ceremony will be conducted. Fowler was observed by multiple media members hinting at a virtual ceremony.
Think Fowler just broke a little news when he mentioned a virtual Heisman Trophy ceremony. That’s no surprise at all. And if anybody knows what’s going on with the Heisman it’s ESPN.
Still, no date for announcement.

Chris Fowler just said the Heisman will be presented virtually this season at a date TBD. Not surprising, but hadn’t heard that yet.

The award is typically given out after conference championship games. With those conference championship games later in December this year (weekend of Dec. 19), the Heisman will have to consider everyone’s holiday plans when setting a date for the ceremony.
