Nation’s No. 1 team on upset alert? Clemson gives up 99-yard fumble touchdown
These are the plays that lead to No. 1 teams losing.
While there’s still plenty of game left to play, Clemson is currently trailing Boston College 21-10 on Saturday after the Tigers fumbled near the goal line leading to a 99-yard fumble return score.
Of course, the big story heading into this game was Trevor Lawrence being unavailable to play against Boston College after testing positive for COVID.
Clemson started true freshman D.J. Uiagalelei with Lawrence unavailable. The freshman has gotten off to an impressive start, completing 16 of 19 attempts for 180 yards and a touchdown so far in the game.
With Lawrence not playing, can Clemson climb out of his hole with a true freshman leading the offense?
We’ll find out soon enough.
