Clemson-Syracuse enters weather delay due to lightning warning

The Clemson Tigers are currently locked in a tight battle against the Syracuse Orange in a pivotal early-season ACC test that they desperately need to win in order to avoid a disastrous 1-3 start.
Unfortunately for the Tigers, Orange, and fans in attendance, though, Mother Nature doesn’t seem to be too keen on cooperating coming out of the half, as the game entered a weather delay before the second half kickoff due to a lightning warning.
This marks the second time so far this season that a game in Death Valley has been suspended for weather, with the first coming a couple of weeks back against the Troy Trojans.
While it may be annoying for the fans in the stands to sit through, having some extra time to regroup could undoubtedly end up benefiting the Tigers as they attempt to make yet another second-half comeback.
Clemson was actually trailing Troy 16-3 when their matchup was delayed due to lightning, and they ended up coming out and rallying for a 27-16 victory over their Group of 5 foe.
Syracuse has had the Tigers’ number all afternoon, so Dabo Swinney and his staff can certainly use the extra break to figure out how to get their guys back on track. Only time will tell if Clemson can rally for a much-needed win against the Orange, but if they do, then the weather delay will more than likely play a factor in the W.
